It's from the 'Only Built for Cuban Linx" album, and I think the track is 'Glaciers of Ice'.

Nice one Spike.

Here's two more from the top of my head:

"SINCE I LEFT YOU"
contains a sample from The Duprees "The Sky's The Limit"

"EVERYDAY" (B-SIDE)
contains a sample from The Love Generation "Sunrise Highway"

The Duprees "The Sky's The Limit", taken from their excellent "Total Recall" album (circa 1968).

I got the Carwash LP (1976)...they sample the Richard Pryor Dialogue and part of Daddy Rich throughout the "When I Met You" comp. and also through the "Since I Left You LP". The end of "Daddy Rich" is the very first sample you hear in the "Since I Left You LP"

I clocked the bit of 'Cabaret' sampled in '2 Hearts in 3/4 time' the other day (I think it's a bloke called Joel Gray saying 'money' in faintly tutonic voice).

Errr... and this isn't strictly related to Since I Left You, but it's been gnawing at my head of late....

In the first At Home mix (Breezeblock 2, too) there's a cover of Oye Como Va by Amral's Trinidad Cavaliers... I noticed that this is also sampled in the Beastie Boys' 'Body Movin''...

Sooooooo... I don't suppose anyone's spotted an mp3 of it anywhere have they? I'm on the virge of buying the album from some shifty looking Canadian, but I suspect that it's pretty fucked as records go...

Cheers,
Simon

I think I've found one.

It sounds like 'Live at Dominoes' samples Thomas Bangalter - Outrun.

The sound kicks in around 3:00 in the original song and it can be heard pretty good around 4:05 in the Avalanches' track.

That's fucking horrible.

Interesting spot, but I'm not hearing it at the moment... where's it used?
