A film few people seem to have seen but is very good is The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys. It's a coming of age drama, only without being crap!

it was cool, till it got over quoted and over marketed.
it ruined it for me.

I know it's not a film, but I'm loving the 1st season of "Arrested Development"- A comedy series from the states.
I like "The Virgin Suicides" but mainly because Air did the score. Give "Life Aquatic" a try for something bizzare. "Requiem for a Dream" for something confronting.

Delicatessen (1991) and Tuvalu (1999)

They have something in common- the story, the mood, strange characters and brilliant acting- recommended
