Really excited about the SILY reissue, sounds like a deluxe package!
However, on reading the tweet that the guys are ' still clearin samples and
finalizing last few collabs ' , I'm thinking album 2 won't appear in 2012.
But, on the upside, the reissue should be crammed with good/unheard
stuff.

As with all things Avalanches, I suspect the answer is 'maybe… maybe not…'

At least we're getting the deluxe CD package. I was beginning to think the vinyl reissue was the only release before the new album. And they're still finishing the album? I thought Modular had announced the wrap party months ago?

Hi all. Might introduce myself as this is my first post. Been a fan since SILY came out and a lurker here for ages too. Really excited about new the new album. Seems as though things are slowly heating up. Usually I'm a very patient fan and have quite enjoyed the wait, knowing that the guys are working on what's probably going to be some genius work. However, yesterday, I reached out to them via twitter and they fav'd one of my tweets! This is what I said...

"Been a hardcore @TheAvalanches fan since SILY. C'mon guys it's TIME! What about a tracklist for the new album at least? We need somethin'!"

Now...that in itself isn't that interesting...but what they tweeted a little later is. Could be somethin', could be nothin'. But I thought I'd share anyway. Peace!

P.s. The link in their tweet is to Rosalinda Ruiz’s Twitter account. According to Consequence of Sound, Ruiz is the manager for Dallas hip-hop duo A.Dd+, who are rumored to have recorded with The Avalanches. Link to article below. CoS are claiming there may be a new track in the pipeline for release with the band, but who knows really. Could be a tracklist? Could be them delivering an instrumental track for them to rap over? Could be anything. Food for thought.
