Hello, my name is Simon, I used to be simongazunda, but as I'm backover again now, it didn't make any sense.

My interests are travel and saving the trees and world peace and great big fuck off dance music.

Simon :)

Emma,

I know it sucks arse, but really, VPC is the only way to go for the time being.... I've tried quite a few of the different systems, and they're all shit... Neo, anything to do with Gnutella.... I like KDX Client (www.haxial.com) for blagging *ahem* backup software, and occasionally MP3s, but there's no search facility, so it's EXTREMELY limited in scope.... Soulseek through VPC does work... I've got it chugging along in the background....

but i hate VPC

is yours really ok chugging along the background? 'cause whenever i've had the 2 platforms going & am trying to work normally on the mac VPC just causes loads of hassle & it's a pain in the arse switching backwards & forwards

so pissed... some nice soul had just developed a mac satellite for AG & i was downloading nicely for once & then they go take it away from me

suppose i could just invest in a cheap pc & have that sitting alongside the mac downloading all day....

What are you using?

I've got OSX on my spiffy white eMac, which is certainly better than Dad's G4 on OS9.... I'm using VPC5 as well, and there's no performance hit on anything else as far as I can tell (although I don't do the hi-tech 'typing out 10 pages from Jockey Slut' work that you do though.... ;) )

big grey dad type G4 os9.1 & i do push it quite hard with huge (this big she says with her arms spread faar apart!) photoshop files, isdn's going in & out all the time & constantly switching between programmes & I've an older version of VPC, it just basically slows everything down which i can't be doing with at work...

& remember always rely on some other muppet to do the typing!
