i think that virgin suicides is a perfect film. there's nothing it doesn't have, or there isn't anything in it that shouldn't be there.

and kirsten is in it. and she is very easy on the eye.

Hey,

Did anyone catch this documentary in the theaters? The DVD is out now, and it's really an awesome flick. It's been on the sundance channel a few times too in the past week, which is why its fresh on my mind. Lot of interviews with the likes of Mix Master Mike, DJ Qbert, Shadow, J5, Cut Chemist... just to name some of the more currently active participants.

Heat's a brilliant action movie, totally worth seeing... I liked Insomnia too, though all I could think of most of the way through it though was how old and worn out Al Pacino looked (he's played that same cop role about a million times now)

I watched Shiri and (finally) 24 Hour Party People yesterday - latter was great but I was a bit disappointed in Shiri, after all I'd heard about it, it just seemed like a Korean version of the usual action blockbusters Hollywood churn out.

al pacino is supposed to look all wornout in that movie, he is insomniac!

also, about asian flicks, on the plane back from sydney i saw a funny japanese movie called "No Problem 2".....it was only funny cause it was ridiculous. though it could be an excellent movie to watch when inhibriated!

best dvd i've bought recently has to be the specially extended version of the fellowship of the ring - the sheer volume of extra features on it is staggering and the extra 30 minutes or so of footage makes for a better film :)
