I found an adorable topic on samples used in "Since I Left You" on this board, but It seems that everybody here listens to various bands,- and not every band has such a wonderful forum

So if you find any interesting or lovely sample- feel free to post your discovery here

I start with 2 samples from Handsomeboy Technique "Our/ Your Blessings":

Cake - "Baby That's Me"

and vocals come from Jackie DeShannon "When You Walk In The Room"

Slightly better quality versions. They're both pretty good in their own right, I thin, and Your Blessings is a beautiful track.

Cake and Deshannon....

on "Our Blessings"
* Stu Phillips "Through Spray-Colored Glasses"

i don't have the handsomeboy technique record handy, but one track samples david holmes' "69 police" and another samples U2's "sunday bloody sunday."

No sarcasm. I was v impressed. Jackie Deshannon is playing at Dingwalls on 25 May, if you're interested.

Simmer down; was only asking a simple question. I think you need to drink less coffee or sit a bit further back from the TV maybe...? ;)

Whilst we're on the subject, In Your Debt samples Tomita's 'Snowflakes are Dancing' [EDIT] and 'The Girl with the Flaxen Hair' I think... looks like they've got the same Tomita album I've got (and remembered from car journeys with the folks back in the 70s).

Eddie - that is a fantastic spot too, by the way.

oh, that lovely feeling "where I have heard that" :)

recently discovered, that the very beginning of "Pabadam" by Yonderboi- from his old, but brilliant album "Shallow and Profound" (if You haven't already done that- take a listen here: http://www.mole.de/eng/Releases/release ... mole023l-2 )

comes from "Ain't Got No (I Got Life)" by Nina Simone.
