Just back from good vibes, and am very keen to know who makes up James Brown's current band. They were so fucking tight, and the cat on the sax was insanely good. Have tried to find the info online, but getting donuts.

A bit of a shambles of a day (in terms of organisation: two main stages had set changes and it was as good as guessing for most of the day who would be playing at each). Managed to miss Talib Kweli (in front of a huge crowd) through a conflict with the nextmen (who were awesome). Caught some of datarock as well, and they seemed interesting, but a little too synth 80s-ish for my tastes. Great matching tracksuits

Breakestra were pretty strong, with a massive funk tilt and the cuban brothers were very funny. Caught half of z-trip and it was sounding pretty grand, although he was dropping a few tunes we'd just heard at the nextmen set. Also saw some of estelle, which was quite good too.

Missed a heap more too, but that is the curse of the multiple staged festival!

Track of the day (heard in three sets) was Kanye's Gold Digger

And my spruik of the day goes to Mr Jigga. They are fucking awesome and a melbourne band too (details and some downloads at http://www.mrjigga.com ).
