yo. i was just wondering if anybody knows if the avalanches use white label bootlegs for certain mixes- ie the it began in africa/ rez/ welcome to teh jungle mix, the matchpoint of our love/ star guitar mix, the police mixes etc etc. i cant comprehend how it could be poissible to beat mix that shit, even with two people and upto 4 tables. if anyone knows where and how you can get these bootlegs on wax i would be most interested. i know they use a sampler for some parts of the set but yeah, im pretty sure i noticed the chemical brothers/ underworld mix jump on one of the mixes and they both jumped in time. curious.

It is possible, just alot of skill required, an excellent knowledge of your records and a little planning before hand. Beating matching only takes 40 odd seconds (roughly) and most people don't even notice if ya have to adjust it a little when it slides out.

I assume they cut the odd acetate to play out live, which would explain the twin jumps... I wondered if they had one of those Vestax vinyl burners, but there's no sign on the BobbyDazzler list, but I guess that wouldn't prevent people of their unlimited financial wellbeing getting the odd homemade booty pressed by a local studio....

They've got some odd bits of stuff in that list of equipment.... Audioquest Topaz cables and Musical Fidelity XLPS are things I used to sell in a hi-fi shop....

I can confirm they have a few pre-pressed mixes, my friends and I went to saw Dexter using them when he was touring with Cut Copy a few months back..

We saw him at a small club on the Gold Coast, was very cramped and we were right next to him.. was a special night, being able to watch him work his magic!

Anyways, we saw him put on a few white labels with pre-made mixes, one of which was the police "can't stand losing" mix..

can't remember the rest, i was on druqks
