Do you have it? If so, how did you get it?
Is there a mp3 of this album floating around on p2p programs or will I have to buy a copy from eBay?

I think that's gone now. You should be able to get Gimix through Soulseek when it's functioning properly, there's a few threads with people here's details on.

I don't keep it in my shares normally, but once we get our b/band connection back, if you can't get it anywhere else, add olivianewtonjones to your list, and give me a shout....

Dagnabbit! You're right. It vanished for a while, and I've been getting 404 errors the last couple of times I've tried it.... looks like it's OK now though.... :)

I'm looking at At Home2 now and can only see tracklistings but no download option. I also want GIMIX becuase the version I've got is only in mono.

BTW has anyone checked out any Lemon Jelly mixes - nearly as good as Avalanches.

I knew I wasn't imagining it.... I think they come and go subject to the website's bandwidth useage.... It was there yesterday, honest....! :)

Soulseek is your best bet in that case, as loads of us have them (I've now figured how to share all my stuff through VPC so feel free to grab it from me if you'd like).

Lemon Jelly is a frequent fave (you can often find some of us festering around on the LJ website at www.lemonjelly.ky), as are Soulwax, Princess Superstar, etc. etc.

Have a check through the Soulseek threads on the board here to get some names, add yours if you'd like, and I'm sure you can get some new stuff... it'd be good to see what else you like too.... :)

I felt the same when I heard the Mix up set. Its basically an extended Gimix. And it has Fat Albert!
It has rocked many a party.
Probably my fave avs / Dexter / Robbie / James set.
What about you guys whats your fave set?

The version of Mixup I have doesn't have radio fuzz, but you can hear that one of the turntables' stylii is fucked, as a lot of tracks are audibly distorted on one side...

Some of the (I assume) acetates for the Gimix bits (Bob Dylan/Holiday, Cyndi/Jimi) sound awful as well....

I don't think it's a reception issue.

As before, Gimix should be easy to get in stereo through Soulseek. If you're having problems with that, let me know and I'll see if there's another way to get it to you.... are you on dial-up?

ok, does anyone know the origin of the gimix? i've heard three rumours about it
1. It was what since I left you was supposed to sound like before they had to start cutting samples out..
2. It was sold at the gigs to tide fans over while they fixed up since i left you
3. It was made as the ulitimate party tape...

can anyone clarify this for me?
