Mac owners can consider the Griffin iMic, which apparently offers much better input and output than the built-in ports, AND includes software to deal with the RIAA amplification required for phono. They also provide their 'Final Vinyl' software, I think...

Haha fork u.... :)

Mine is super clear and white.... and it's not got a button at all.... it's just lovely hand-held-all-click-loveliness...

Now you can all go back to your nasty beige plasticky boxes of shite, whilst I revel in OSX beauty.....

Funny, I often forget what color my PC box is. I usually leave it running for days on end, so there's no real need to look at the box. Oh, I just looked, and it's black.

The Macs I use at work are another story. I'm *always* looking at those beautiful boxes as I wait for them to process my simple requests, or wait for them to reboot from yet another crash.

OK, to be fair, my PC is relatively new and runs on XP, and the Macs are two years old and run on OS 9.x, so I suppose it's not really a fair comparison...

:P

Haven't switched mine off for months... OSX ROCKS! :D ;)

My NT PoS box at work is the slowest crappest hunk of junk I've ever had the displeasure of using.... and it's only 6 months old, and twice the speed of my Mac (though you'd never know).

Do you know how bad it is? After working in frigging Windows ALL DAY it's a relief to tackle the same damned work at home afterwards.... if I could get my work email at home, and didn't have so manhy bloody meetings to go to, I could work at home and be a happy bunny....

Have you used OSX? Just out of interest....

to be honest, i don't know what operating system i've been using. it's just crappy little imacs we've got (which is a bit shocking, considering strathclyde uni's supposed to have one of the top architecture schools in the country...the staff all have g4's tho. ). so i'm probably being a bit unfair, as i haven't experienced any top class macs...
but i mean, one mouse button. what were they thinking?
