official press release from Global Recordings:

===========================================
Sound Not Scene Vol.2 - Mixed by Kuya

Following on from the success of volume one mixed by Phil K, which nabbed us a Australian Dance Music Award for Best Compilation, the wheels are in motion for volume two. Wanting to keep pushing forward with the comp, we
have decided to throw in a ringer and enlist the services of DJ Kuya.
Kuya is a 3 Time Victorian DMC DJ Champion (1998 - 2000) and the 1999 Australian ITF DJ Champion and has performed alongside of DJ Craze, Public Enemy, Black Eyed Peas, Scratch Perverts as well as exclusive gigs with his younger brother Dexter (The Avalanches).
Expect nothing but quality as Kuya cuts, scratches, and blends his way through 70 plus
minutes of his trademark turntable work. Kuya is one of Australia's most respected hip hop fusion djs and we all wait in anticipation as the finalized track listing starts to come together
(keep checking our website at www.globalrecordings.com to get the scoop).

...I got that email too.... Congrats Kuya! :D

Is it going to be released worldwide, or Aussie only?

Simon

Thanks!

GirlThursday - I am dabbling in some new school breaks (got a breaks gig this Friday at the Moonbar), but Vol 2 is going to be completely different from Phil K's CD.

Goldfish - Um...not sure about o/s distribution - email Global Recordings (www.globalrecordings.com) and hassle them about it! :lol:

I'll find out though.

Cheers!
