being that Im obviously not the expert here, I say this is what I've been looking for. You found it so I wont bid, but I will throw you 20 bucks towards a copy for me if you win. :)

the alleged pt. 1 and pt. 3 mixes are just the first and second half of the two-hour Dec. 25, 2001 Hang the DJ mix, which is widely available via Soulseek. my advice: don't bid on this, download it for free.

and do download it, cuz it rocks

Totally agree. I spent a while downloading it, but well worthwhile...

Adrock, you can get the official legal album at the following link...

thanks for all the feedback - i must admit that i wasn't going to bid on them i just wanted to know if they were the real thing - i.e. not bootlegged. i'm such a big fan of my cdr of the set i thought an official one would be lovely.

Pardon my ignorance, but can anyone confirm that part 1 & 3 are identical to the Dec 25, 2001 show?

DJ Riko - I'm not doubting, I just don't know for certain.

What about part 2? A show?

What about the newly surfaced parts 4 & 5? Some other show?

I guess I'm just confused. I know that part 2 is available as a Belgium import. I've been too lazy to order it, but I got lucky and found some local shops (in the US) that had promos ("not for sale copies") of parts 1 & 3 that I picked up reasonably cheap (better than ebay, but it was still a sale). That got me hooked (and confused :? )

Final question: apart from parts 1, 3, 4, & 5 (promos) and part 2 (legal), what else is out there (soulseek or otherwise)?

Thanks for any help. Cheers.

the part 1 and 3 that i downloaded via soulseek are identical to the old xmas show, but with much better sound quality.

don't know about parts 4 and 5, but based on the tracklists, they look like older shows.

as for what else is out there, you can find quite a lot of soulwax mixes on soulseek. at least 15 or 20. many are slight variations on the old xmas mix, with hunks of that mix played in different orders, with a few new parts dropped in. i recently found, and am sharing on soulseek, a 1997 mix that's completely different from the xmas mix, and is a lot of fun, if a little beastie boys heavy.

here's a place selling parts 1, 3, 4, 5 for $22.50 (US) apiece.

http://www.groovedis.com/stock.asp

Don't know anything about this store, though.
