aside from the avalanches mixes, which are excellent of course, i really like the groove armada mix from a couple months back. also like some of the lemon jelly mixes. thought mani's mix (primal scream) was surprisingly good, too.

those are the first few that come to mind.

i've a psychonauhts mix from about 6 years ago that has a special place in my heart... i think it was the oasis wonderwall & star wars combo that did it for me!! :)

ninja tunes 10th birthday mix was a good one too - mr scruff, coldcut & a few other ninjas all doing small sets

*decides she must go back through the archive of breezeblock tapes & give them another listen to*

I would say about 10% of the breezeblocks I download get burned to CD or bropped on my mp3 player. Out of that small percentage (outside of AvS mixes) my current favortie would be:

Coldcut Revolution Mix.

All the tracks have a theme of 'revolution' and there are some excellent section where they just go off.

"I am the terrorist-terrorist. T E R R O R I S T. the terrorist"

that's the dj vadim track i believe. on the superb solid steel: now listen cd they mix it to great effect over mr scruff's ug :)

i second the felix da housecat and quannum nominations and would also add lemon jelly, bent (not really mixed but top tunes), andy c, amillionsons and guy sigsworth

also worth checking out are the coldcut and goldfrapp blue room mixes.

you'll find all the above in my shares on soulseek...

Looking forward to Erol's.... wonder if it will be more Trash-ey or Soulwax-ey...

As an aside, whilst I hate London, England and the UK in general with a passion, this ain't a bad time to be in the smoke....

Dexter at The Social tomorrow, then Erol, Soulwax, Lady Miss Kier and Arthur Baker at the Great Eastern on Saturday (maybe even Dexter, Midfield General and Audio Bullys at the Boutique on Friday night), so it's not ALL bad....

Riko, i'm also a fan of that groove armada mix - really nice stuff

Andy Smith did a great breezeblock mix about the time his 'The Document' mix CD came out ( June 1998) with loads of the stuff he couldn't clear for the release included - Hendrix, AC-DC, Kraftwerk etc.

Think i've lost the tape now though...bugger. :(
