Just wondering if the acapella version of frontier psychiatrist ever surfaced as an mp3? Was it on the rare 12" single? Either way I'd love to hear it. I'm pretty sure dexter used it in his set that was broadcast on 4zzz and (sorry I forget who) someone managed to record 25 minutes of and hand around as an mp3.

uh...i assume he would have used the actual records that they sampled from...well, most likely a special record they got pressed up, like a limited run battle record or something...

i dont like the chances of there being an acapella version...since an acapella versoin would really be nothing wouldnt it? i dunno...are samples counted as acapella?

=============

on some hip hop records, they sometimes have a little skracth section with the samples from the song for the dj to perform live, or other samples...but i doubt they would do that.

Yea I meant an acapella of just the talking samples. Its in the middle of the set it sounds exactly the same as the song only without the music.

Just looked through my old emails and theres one from eggy! saying its on the 12" single.
Where is eggy these days anyhow?

yeah i know...but im sayin, i never heard of a sample acapella...

i never seen one myself, anyway. if it does exist, then that would be pretty cool...

maybe its on a promo version or something...cause its not on my 12"

====================

oh, and yeah, if it sounds the same as the song, just without the background music...it could be just that he's recreating it.

but yeah, maybe there is an instrumental version...or at least a version with all the samples lined up for him to skratch in order, which i think is more likely.

Yup the acapella is all (or most) of the vocal samples it's on the original aussie 12" i think there's only 1000 of them.

I gots mine, will make an mp3 if you guys like.

ah, are you serious? damn...i need to find myself a copy!!!

is it on the website discography? i dont remember seeing it...

yeah, that would make sense, seeing as it is the first pressing...it is akin to hip hopers putting the samples on the 12" for the dj to use live. is it just all the samples in order, or does it have all the skratches, and have it all play in the right time?

if so, its not really an acapella (even if thats what they call it)...its more just a "dj section" or "skratch section" or "bonus dj tools" or something...
