i know i get carried away posting gigs up that aren't relevant to most of you but this one had to be done for obvious reasons

lemon jelly 93 feet east 22,23 & 24 October
tickets from
http://www.lemonjelly.ky/form/tees.html

the tickets are t-shirts that have to be worn on the night to get in, comedy value will be high!

that's classic! :D

what do they actually consist of 'live'? is their lotsa instruments or just them camped behind turntable decks and samplers.

not too sure it's the first gigs they've ever done in the UK except for a couple of festivals this year

but apparently they're going all out to make it 'special' :P

yeah, i got it for $35 on a "buy it now" a few days ago. going to pick it up at the post office today :D

by the way, i noticed the same seller sold another copy at $35 on "buy it now," then another copy for $44 on "buy it now," and now has yet another copy selling. he's wised up and isn't offering a "buy it now" price on that one. wonder how many copies the guy has ???

i didn't see the other auctions until they'd already ended. it seems the records go within hours after the guy lists them.

boy did i score today. first my copy of ky arrived, and i won't go on about how nice it is, then i went to the used record store and found a 12-inch of Crack Attack by Big Stick. i'd been searching for this for more than five years, and i found it in the $1 bin. :!:

time to hit the decks! :P

well fat ho, if its any consolation, the barmaid at my local pub bought .ky on vinyl for £12 when it came out just ‘cos she liked the pretty cover! She hadn’t even heard them!!

Now she has, she won’t sell it to me or swop for the cd (a fair deal surely  ). here’s hoping for a reissue!

aha wheels...that aint no consolation!!! that means:

1) there is one more person out there who has a copy, that doesnt want to sell it...and worse, doesnt even like the music!!!

2) there is one more person (ie you) out there that wants a copy!!!

therefore, through demand and supply, my chances of finding a copy are reduced, and the price will be increased!!! :(

but yeah...fucken oath i want a reissue. i dont care much for owning an original pressing (tho, it would be nice)...i just want the music!!!

oh, and rubberneck...yeah, but my turntable doesnt play cds...:(

but $18 hey?...hmmm, maybe i might consider buying it. actually, probably not, but it is pretty good.
