I've been enjoying The Atlantic Line. They've been playing around L.A. and definitely have some talent. Their album is free too!

Not feeling the Gorillaz album at all, maybe it just needs a few more listens.

Fourtets newest has been hitting the spot for a few months and more recently the new Caribou album Swim has been soothing me. Also worth mention are :

Gonjasufi - A Sufi and a Killer
Oh Astro- Champions of Wonder (from 07)
The Bran Flakes - I have Hands (Why was I not told about these guys!!!)
Paul White - Sounds from the Skylight
Junk Culture - West Coast

And lots of random tracks by Pogo, especially loving Expialidocious and Upular.

Listening to a few tracks from Atlantic Line here, nice recommendation! Cheers.

I'm digging the definite radiohead/band of horses/autolux influence, but they also have their own dirty L.A. sound.

Absolutely loving the new album from The National, High Violet, but then I'm a rabid fanboy when it comes to that band. Most of the early reviews seem to agree with me though. Definitely a mellower vibe with this one.

Really enjoying the LCD album although like his previous efforts I think its one where I'll take individual songs with me rather than the album as a whole. I Can Change is fantastic.

Just bought the Flying Lotus album as it's been getting rave reviews. Dubstep's not really my thing but I did like his previous album and what I've heard of Cosmogramma sounds awesome.

Also been playing the Caribou album a lot. Odessa is the obvious standout, but also very much liking Sun & Jamelia

Recent mixes from Aeroplane have been a return to form.

Both the May Chart mix and the 500 Essential Mix are well worth downloading from their soundcloud page.

Labelmate Ilya Santana's recent soundcloud mix is also ticking all the right boxes

Really enjoying the new Apples In Stereo album Travellers In Space and Time . . . I thought I would be over my ELO fascination by now but there you go, still strong.

Also quite into what I have heard from Midnight Juggernauts newie The Crystal Axis and Miami Horror's latest single Moon Theory.

All brightening up the winter in BrisVegas (which is not really winter at all, but we like to pretend some days ) [/i]

Will add in Eccentric Beats & Breaks, the latest release from the Numero Group that was taken from a bootleg edit of a lot of their Eccentric Soul range. The bootleg was origially down by Shoes (who have done some interesting re-edits of Al Green and Bill Withers).

Can certainly hear The Avalanches in some of the work, to my old ears anyway.

PM if you want a link.

Bonobo - Black Sands ... This album is definitely on my top ten of 2010.

Also enjoying..
The Time And Space Machine - Set Phazer To Stun
Kuniyuki Takahashi - Walking In The Naked City
Trentemoeller - Into The Great Wide Yonder

And incredibly surprisingly.. Grum's album Heartbeats. Some really good 80's pop gems on here, which is a sound I'd thought I'd had enough of for at least the next 20 years.

Mix wise, I also only recently heard a DJ Zeus (aka Joel Martin, aka Quiet Village) mix that he did in 2002 called Esoteric Disco Vol 1. Which is super amazing and worth checking out.
